Hervé Anténor, was born on September 1, in the commune of Plaine du Nord, in Cap-Haitien, to a family of 10 children. Better known under the name of Shabba, he is a drummer, singer-songwriter, but he is also an outstanding animator who has distinguished himself during his multiple performances on stages and on carnival courses. Shabba has been showing percussion skills since the age of 12 and he started playing church drums. Influenced

by zouk and soca, and by groups like Septen, Tropicana, Skah Shah and System Band, he is an autodidact who plays on drums, drums and “gong”. His musical career began in 1996 when he joined the Kanel group as a drummer. He was then part of several musical groups like Zoro, Shirley Desgrottes, Faxed, still on drums, In 1999 / Shabba joined the Djakout Mizik formation as a drummer and found stability there until forming with some musicians of the group Djakout # l in 2010.

Shabba has been involved twice in solo album projects: in 2008 “Pi piti pi red” and in 201 1 “Pi piti style pi red”. Throughout his career, he has participated in a wide variety of artistic projects and has collaborated with a host of artists. Married and father of 3 children, Shabba is involved in national life and is very committed. In 2016 he released a music video for a song called “Antann nou” where he advocates peace and tolerance.

January 2020 marks a turning point in Shabba’s career. After many high-profile incidents, he decides to leave Djakout # 1 for good and to create his own musical group EKIP with two other former musicians of Djakout # 1, Steeve Khe and Ti Regi.

Hervé Anténor, est né le 1er septembre 1979 dans la commune de la Plaine du Nord, au Cap-Haitien, d’une famille de 10 enfants. Plus connu sous le nom de Shabba, il est un tambourineur, chanteur-compositeur, mais il est aussi un animateur hors pair qui s’est illustré lors de ses multiples performances sur scènes et sur les parcours carnavalesques.
Shabba dévoile des aptitudes pour la percussion depuis l’âge de 12 ans et il commence à jouer à la batterie à l’église. Influencé par le zouk et la soca, et par des groupes comme Septen, Tropicana, Skah Shah et System Band, il est un autodidacte qui joue à la batterie, au tambour et au « gong ».
Sa carrière musicale débute en 1 996 lorsqu’il intègre le groupe Kanel en tant que batteur. Il a ensuite fait partie de plusieurs formations musicales comme Zoro, Sherley Degrotte, Faxed, toujours à la batterie,
En 1999/ Shabba intègre la formation Djakout Mizik en tant que tambourineur et y trouvera une stabilité jusqu’à former avec certains musiciens du groupe le Djakout#l en 2010.
Shabba s’est investit a deux reprises dans des projets d’album solo : en 2008 « Pi piti pi red » et en 201 1 « Pi piti style pi red ».
Tout au long de sa carrière, Il a participé à des projets artistiques très variés et a collaboré avec une pléiade d’artistes.
Marié et père de 3 enfants, Shabba s’implique dans la vie nationale et est très engagé. En 2016 il sort un vidéoclip pour une chanson intitulée « Antann nou » ou il prone la paix et la tolérance.
Janvier 2020 marque un tournant décisif dans la carrière de Shabba. Après de nombreux incidents très médiatisés, il décide de quitter définitivement Djakout #1 et de créer sa propre formation musicale EKIP avec deux autres anciens musiciens de Djakout #1 , Steeve Khe et Ti Regi.
