Tuco Bouzi is a well-known Haitian drummer and composer. Also keyboardist and guitarist, he collaborated for years with “Les Frères DEJEAN”.

He is the founder of the very famous “Dixie Band”. Thanks to this compass-oriented group, he has gained enormous popularity within the Haitian community and elsewhere. “Bel Carnaval”, Tuco Bouzi’s first album with Dixie Band, was released in 1984.

TuCo has released a number of successful albums with the group, including hits: “Falklands”, “Roule”, “Lolita”, “Ti Yaya”, “El Unico”, “Truth”, “Aba”, “Abou Yéyé”, “Pretty Lady”, “Abu”, “Kimbe Compa ou”, “La Ki Ni Nana”, “Bayo Bayo”, “Voye Monte”, “Andrea”, “The great successes of Dixie Band”, “La Ban’n Un TuCo”.

One of his legendary songs entitled “Salsa de Tuco” is engraved on the album “Vérité”. Unfortunately, the group has been dismantled. This forced TuCo Bouzi to look into his own album and to work with different other groups and singers.

Dixie Band remains etched in the hearts of music lovers who have known it. As recently as 2008, the group was invited to perform in Panama, by the Panamanian government, at their carnival festivity.
