Edy Brisseaux is an accomplished musician who is well known in the Tri-State area for his Caribbean fusion genre, and also known as the “King of Raklasikobop” .

Edy Brisseaux is an outstanding Haitian musician who engaged with music as early as at the age of nine. He started playing trumpet during his high school life where he studied with another prominent musician Michel Desgrottes. When he was 17 he started to engage himself with top bands of Haiti such as: Dixie Band, Skah Shah, Caribbean Sextet, Zekle, Freres Dejan etc. He founded the group Bazilik in 1987 with which he performed for many years.

Edy Brisseaux introduced Rabop, a new style of music in 1997. Afterwards he released four more albums and also conceptualized another style, Raklasikobop. (Racine; Classical; Konpa; Rabop) He was also engaged in recording and producing other artists.

Edy has an unequaled love for the trumpet and also owns a van named ” The Red Trumpet” which is a portable CD store which covers NY, NJ, MA.

Edy has gained many appreciation over the years by performing at funerals of esteemed folks in his community. He has also played his favorite gospel tunes for the church over the years.
