Singer, composer and guitarist, Dener Céide, having the wind in his sails, has not stopped talking about him lately thanks to his talent. He proved it again on Wednesday June 22, 2016 during his performance at the White House in Washington as part of an official celebration to honor American citizens and other people living in the United States from the Caribbean. However, it was not in 2009 that it was discovered on the hit album “Jere’m” by Harmonik.

Nickenson Prud’Homme (Nicky), maestro of this group, allowed him to interpret with his unique voice the composition of Marc Lubin entitled “Ur secret” (Annual). In 2011, he hit hard on Harmonik’s album “Let’s go” with the song “Angélique” which he performed in duet with Mac D. Since then, the artist has always been sought by many groups and artists including the legendary Tabou Combo which he has integrated elsewhere. On Tabou Combo’s latest album called “Konpa to the world”, Dener Céide who knows how to sing, play, compose and arrange brought his magic touch to the songs “Lage’m pou m ale” and “Atansyon w ap chache” of this great musical formation. Unfortunately, Tabou Combo star singer Shoubou some time ago confirmed the unavailability of Dener Céide. After giving Zenglen in 2012 “Rezilta” that Réginald Cangé had embellished, Dener Céide has repeated this time with a love version “Sincerely yours” which he performs in duet with the new singer of Zenglen, Wid. Sadly, he (Dener Céide) is not present in the video of this song which makes its way on the last disc dated of the band to Brutus, “Rezilta pi réd”.

More in demand than ever, the singer-musician was called by Professor Richie’s Klass to put his mark on two versions of the album “Fè’l ak tout kè’w” including “Lajan sere”, a little sonic gem. Dener Céide also touched up Shabba’s new song, “Antann nou”, as he also did for Prince Rocher’s “10 commandments” of Dream. It doesn’t stop there. He helped Gazzman a lot on Disip’s album “Klere yo” by (re) working several songs including “Heartbreak & Misery Jealous”, and sang in duet with Gazzman Color “San manti”. Dener Céide also worked on Mass Konpa’s album “Prensip” by Gracia Delva as he had already done on that “Jije’m” by composing “I never knew” that the honorable deputy Gracia Delva sings with so much pleasure . In addition, we learned that not all compositions by this artist with multiple potentials are made for free.

“His Highness, Prince Céide both reserved and conqueror”

This dominating force has been involved for ages in enhancing the quality of the astonishing biotobe. Thanks to extraordinary abilities that impose him as a fertile musician and versatile instrumentalist, knowing how to perform wonderfully as a transcendental vocalist, imbued with a timbre with chameleon effects, asserting himself as both a technical and characteristic singer. And also, extraordinary guitarist, by bringing forth an infinite number of combinations of exhilarating timbres at the discretion of an intelligent fingering. But also, arrogant arranger and fulfilled composer and enterprising keyboardist. In short, Dener Céide remains both a reserved and conquering musician. For having always known how to avoid the hysteria of stardom, while putting his enormous talent for the benefit of others. So, with so many assets so obvious, no way to be invisible, to the point of being spotted by music aficionados who have been able to place him as a leader, in the dynamics of the surrounding and global sounds.

Dener Céide at the White House

He was born with music in his veins, since his mother Marie Bruno was choreographer in the choir of his hometown in Becherette. We then understand from whom he inherited these sparkling vocalizations and onomatopoeias. However, it is on the strings that he will set his sights, instead focusing on the banjo and the guitar. Between a childhood in Saint-Louis du Sud and a teenage apprenticeship in Port-au-Prince, where he ended up hanging out in the entourage of the super guitarist Jimmy Jn. Felix. Which instilled in him the knowledge of the multiple parameters of the soil; as well as jazz , rock & roll , classical , latin-jazzetc. Through which he set out to navigate in the bath of sound synchretism, between ambient rides of konpa and exploratory treks of rasin , correlatively to the worldbeat. To be successively solicited by various groups and artists such as: “Chandel”, “Alabanza”, “Boukan Ginen”, Mushi Widmaier whose great musical value he admires.

At the start of this millennium, he set off for Florida where he studied Music Education at Miami Dade. His meeting with the excellent keyboardist Nicky Prud’Homme (Harmonik) will give him the opportunity to put himself in the limelight. Exposing his gift as a licensed lyricist as well as a stunning harmonica player and melody maker. Especially in the solo work , of this one  : ” Nickenson Prud’Homme: Première Danse ”, in which he put his flourishing imprint of singer, guitarist, arranger and composer. These references allow him to collaborate with the groups “Miami Live”, “Urban Mystic”, as well as celebrities like: Neeyo, Laureen Hill etc. On this momentum, he repeats convincingly in the first cd of the group “Harmonik”, always in complementary association with Nicky in many hits and the monster success Jere m (the title of the work)

In the meantime, he undertakes a succinct ” stint ” with the “Tabou Combo”, contributing his part in the album: “Konpa to the world” , which he could not certify. To return to its freelance status , and went where the author of modernity is needed; recurring in the second production of “Harmonik” with  : More than enough, Brase lide, Angélique, All the way, Let’s go which remain the essential titles of the opus. Without respite, he devotes himself to all the sauces and, at the successive stage, is towed by the “Zenglen” which he gives with an astonishing CD “Rezilta…, Pirèd” in which Déner has rewarded captivating ” ‘Sincerly yours ‘ as well asTout bagay posib, Wow Kreyol, Bird of paradise, Zenglen pran devan and other instrumental additions to the clarity of this achievement . Then, it is the “Klass” which does not leave it out; giving a sovereign response to an always inspired Pipo, in You don’t want me. Not to mention other notable contributions. And possible excursions that find him to the rescue of Gazzman Couleur and his “Disip”, in the acclaimed production “Klere yo” , and in which he has codified almost everything, culminating in the functions of: composer, arranger , lyricist, solo guitarist and accompanist, keyboardist.

With the key, his subtleties and his eccentricities, galvanizing with his strokes of genius on the guitar demonstrating a dexterity that would make Ricardo ” Tiplum ” blush and solos that make you admire with unlimited scales. Its flourishing brand and its brilliant features; by conquering captivating strings and providing an original and inspired sound. Among its pearls: San manti   delivered in tandem with Gazzman brings out a voice that has already claimed its standing among the most authentic. With his soul , his bravado, its singularity, its elasticity and its musicality which can illuminate the most innocuous tunes. Imbued with his abilities to stimulate multiple inheritances, he tirelessly continues his announced path of life. Between the dark rooms of the obligated countries and the temples of the music hall of the impregnable citadels, including a performance at the Obama White House in the company of the national diva, Emelyne Michel. Déner Céide is increasingly establishing himself as a musical conqueror for his already increased contribution in the arena of music. It is easy to understand the extent of the respect and praise he receives from his peers. As well as music buffs in general who are impatiently awaiting the release of his first solo which will have yet to prove what he comes from His Highness the new musical prince.
