Jude could well pass for our planetary star Jason Derulo. This native compatriot who has reached the heights of the world music hall; with his mega-hits such: whatchasay, want to marry…, savage love, take you dancing, in my head, talk dirty etc. And who looks like him like a brother. With which Jude also seems to share artistic traits. Including this voice haloed with picturesque leaps and high notes. But, as far as we know, it’s always easier to make great food with a lot of money. The challenge of being able to accomplish it with few resources is proof of any capacity. And Jude, for having set his sights on music from childhood, has also put on a musical aura at heart. Supported in this sense by parents imbued with his skill.

Indeed, already under the influence of his six years, he is an apprentice of the classical guitar. Absorbing conventional standards, which is the starting point for any member. But, from adolescence, he swings in the universe of atavistic and ambient sounds. In addition to being also wary of cross-over modulations. To eventually assert itself as an authentic product of its time; adorned with eclectic milestones, without borders. At this point, Jude knows what he wants. Carrying out his school activities with his talent as an intuitive guitarist; combining his classical training with popular traditions. And the choir also cultivates the stamp of a vocalist of planetary reference. It was the time of impromptu performances in the city colleges.

Jude Deslouches
Especially at the Saint-Louis Gonzague establishment, his homestead, where he made himself the idol of young people. A status he shared in the company of a certain Solon Sanders, always with their guitar on the back for the impression and the introduction. And from there, the first fortuitous associations; at the discretion of an apostolate which authorized him to consolidate his assets. Subsequently to his debut with the group “Excess”. In which he continued to polish his work a hundred times on the loom. Innovating more and more in parameters including the genesis of contemporary music. While interfering in urban twoubadou projects. Eventually, it was Montreal that in the meantime became his adopted city. Where he will take his art to an additional level; parallel to his academic occupations.

In particular musical excursions which consolidate it in its quests of: composer, arranger, lyricist, vocalist and guitarist. Trying gleefully to find a place in the Montreal thicket. Then, with members of his own, developed the “Carlitow” project in a hybridization of konpa, zouk and kizomba. These intrusions having allowed him to type the brotherhood in the ear. And, successively multiple musical currents that he continued to embellish with his versatility as a guitarist with a syncretic touch; from a classical training incorporated into contemporary themes. And punctuated by the science of improvisation and a more relaxed game of amalgamation; all imbued with solo tablecloths. So many traits that install him as a wise guitarist.

HOPEFULLY IN THE NEXT RECORD, THE ” MICK ” SATISFIES HIS VOCAL BULIMIA.

Likewise, he is an inspired vocalist, notably in the control of his register which allows him to better stack the octaves. All infused with an impromptu singularity with its vocal rushes, its imaged timbre and its falsetto points . He has enough strings to his bow to be called upon by peers for volunteer operations. Thus setting in motion the clubs of Montreal of which he is proclaimed the teaser. Also taking part in the emergence of the group “Enposyb”, before it became an ante covid sensation among teenagers. In this effervescence, he decides in the company of his acolytes Benjamin “Tiben” Guirand and Romual Paul to found the “Formula” group. With which he provided his first opus which should ultimately put him personally in the limelight.

However, this moment of being able to finally demonstrate its diverse capacities will take a whole different direction. Because, this detachment coincided with the collapse of “CaRiMi” whose lead-vocalist Mickail Guirand had just thrown the apron and wanted to rebound prestissimo. Who better to help him with this comeback? His nephew the keyboardist ” Tiben ” Guirand and his scout Deslouches who also believed that the adventure was worth starting. Hence the initiative of the “Vyab” group, with which JL will amply reveal himself. Prior to doing his part in volume 9 “Jazz la” by Shedley Abraham in “ban mwen lanmou” . Possibly, by establishing itself from the start as a pillar of this astonishing ensemble. To which he contributed his imprints in the introductory work:” Game over ” and, which has made its way into the arena of Caribbean show biz.

With a myriad of hits to which Jude contributed the titles: fòm ale, amwatye, or sou tyèk and particularly the hit I will do. His own composition which pulverized the charters of the album. Camping him from multiple angles of singer with a melodious and attractive timbre, able to diversify the vocal balance of the group. In addition to his interpersonal skills as a guitarist coupled with a charisma that installs him in potential “ one man show ”. Too bad he only had one song in this opus to express himself. Hopefully in the next record, the ” Mick ” satisfies his vocal bulimia. By giving two or three more verses to the ‘Ladles’, which would pay dividends for the whole gang. Moreover, we know that this redemptive drive was stopped by the health crisis of covid-19, which forced workers in the culture to take cover.

What members like Maestro Ben and Jude did when they returned to Canada. And, that did not allow them to perform ‘ ‘ live stream ” with the ‘Vyab’, as was the fashion during the peak of the pandemic. Yet his eight months of confinement did not alter the creative ardor of Deslouches who went on his inventive and particular hikes. Remaining active in the ” social-media ”, while registering collaborations; among which: the single “Love Riddim”, with DJX-Tacy and Maestro Ricky in hip hop prospecting . And the most significant is the reply to the Guyanese star Tina Ly for the twenty years of her career. To which he made the gratuity of the tube had to leave you, which has again proven its diverse ability. In the meantime, Jude is focusing on relaunching “Vyab” the group that finally proclaimed it. In a second opus which it is certain that it will be stamped with inventive claws, as well as quatrains vocalizations of a consummate artist.
