ARTIST/BAND /GROUP INFORMATION

SABINE is the daughter of legendary Haitian singer, songwriter, composer and arranger Assad Francoeur long the driven force with “Coupe Cloue et l’Ensemble Select”. Growing up in Haiti, SABINE started singing at a very early age together with her two sisters Ives and Martine getting the harmonies just right and later doing back up chorus and vocals in the recording studio helping their father.

In 1990, the family moved to Miami and two years later the three daughters made their first appearance as Background vocalist in their father’s album with SABINE recording her first lead vocal on “Le Vent des villes”. Shortly after, their dad took them to producer Fred Paul’s record store “Mini Records” and had them sing for him. The group SAIMA was born a few weeks later and they recorded their first album “Pou Sa Ka Sa”.
