Biography: I was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti. I have one brother and two sisters whom are older than I. I enjoyed the fact that I ha siblings which thought me the value of sharing and helped me get along with my other peers. I spent my junior years at Saint Louis de Gonzage. My years there were fill with fun memories that at times I reminisce on. I moved to Florida at the age of 14, and there begun my love for konpa. Sweet Micky was the first artist that grasps my attention, I remember vividly humming his tunes an imitating his style. After I familiarize myself with the keyboard I than decided to work my own groove. Later on I met Papi and Ed who both had the same interest as I; Sweet Groove was born.
When I am not behind my keyboard and other instruments trying to produce songs and write lyrics I am out there as an entrepreneur trying to provide myself with a comfortable life. I am currently in school so I can further my education. Away from all I am a normal young man who enjoys to go to the movies, and spending time with boys. I love going to bals, because I can learn a lot from my fellow musicians but most of all I feel by attending one of their parties I am supporting the growth of Konpa.
Stephan on Intimacy
My lady to be must be supportive of all of my decisions and at the same time provide me with some guidance. It is almost impossible for a musician to live a normal life, so she must have great self-esteem to understand that regardless where I am to perform I will come back in her arms. She must also try separate Stephan the musician, from Stephan her man. She must understand the meaning of the word respect; provide it to receive it in return. Since music is part of my life, my mate must also enjoy music. I would like her to be romantic, passionate, and somewhat freaky in bed, yet know her limits and the boundaries in love making that was not meant to be crossed. I would like for her to be open and share all of her fantasies with me, because I do go by the philosophy that stated, “Your wishes are my desires”.
Stephan’s Most/ least memorable moments
My most memorable moments are the times that I spent with my friends, which have inspired me to become a musician today. I am fortunate to have been surrounded with great people that have thought and guided me towards the right path.
Thus far I have been blessed and have not yet encounter moments I would like to forget. I try to enjoy to the fullest each moment of my life and make it memorable.
Stephan’s Goals
I would like to become a well-respected musician and manage my own company at the same time. My main goal at this point is to take Sweet Groove to a level where the groups’ effort and name can be recognized worldwide, beyond the Haitian Market.
