Jean Baptiste, Roger (edit)

ARTIST/BAND /GROUP INFORMATION

Roger “Ti Yale” Jean-Baptiste, the hit maker.
It has often been said that the way the cat walks is completely different from the way it chases the mices. As the youngest brother of Frankie and Smith Jean-Baptiste, “Ti Yale” grew up in the house where Shleu-Shleu was doing his musical rehearsals and his way of playing the guitar was inspired from the melodic style of Milo Toussaint and Serge Rosenthal. Guitarist, singer, composer and above all, he was the catalyst that led to the creation of the late Djet-X which, through its many successes, revolutionized a time of molasses. Certainly, he was very young when “Ti Yale” began to learn the musical chords of Shleu-Shleu by playing all the records successively. And at 13 years old, he made his baptism of fire at Shleu-Shleu by replacing Serge Rosenthal who was absent. Later, we can notice him with the Djet-X, by executing his hit compositions such as: “Love to love”, “Gagot Djet-la”, “Rossignol”, “Le notre”, “Fais toi plus belle”, “Pa kole” and many others. And what makes him one of the best musicians of our time. “WE ARE MUSICIANS” greatly appreciated his contribution to the evolution of our music.
