His real name Jerry Laguerre, he is rather known by the name Jaydee-B, born on 08/02/87 in P. ville, grew up in a Christian family and in love with music. Jay did his primary studies at the Don Bosco Classic Center in Pétion-Ville and his secondary studies at the Concordia Grand College in Delmas 89. Subsequently, Jay attended info Master for a training in Marketing Management and UNAPEC in Santo Domingo for a study in communication. Jay’s musical journey began at church at the age of 7, because coming from a Christian family and music lover, he saw himself integrating a choir as a soloist.

After this experience in church, jay was now animated by the desire to launch himself as an artist in the field of Hip-hop and more precisely “RNB”. From there, he began with his first single titled: “Special love” in 2003.

Jay, wanting to compete with other artists of his generation, tried his luck to participate in the contest of West-I Entertainment at Planet Kreyol, in 2005 where he finished in first place thus winning the first price of the said contest for the RNB category with his second single of the time, titled: “Baby tell me”. After multiple offers from musical groups who were fascinated by Jay’s pure talent, he ended up integrating that of A5 and then Dream Team. Groups with which he was going to know a fairly interesting journey until the moment he had to leave Haiti to discover other horizons and expose his talent to other audiences.

Indeed, after the 2010 earthquake, Jay went to the Dominican Republic to prepare his first album and a mixtape at the request of his fans. It was at that time that he was going to meet the heads of the G7 Family group. With these, a new adventure began for Jay where he was going to offer to the general public and especially to mothers, a title: “louse or manman” who until today has made his journey with consumers of music in general.

Jay’s career in the Dominican Republic is anchored in successful tours and fruitful collaboration with young Dominican artists. Jay has made a name for himself in the world of urban music to the point of being coveted by several labels. Finally, after being coveted by RKM Recordz, a label that has become known for its know-how and good management of artists evolving under its cover. Jay ended up accepting the conditions of the said label and signing his contract in April 2015.
