Athlete, producer, studio engineer, singer, lyricist, pianist, bassist, and guitarist. Gabriel Laporte, a native of Cap-Haitien, Haiti, is a man of many hats with his favorite being a guitarist. From running the soccer fields to commanding on stage, Laporte strives to excel in any and all of his activities. With music being his main passion, Laporte’s musical resume is quite extensive as he was a member of some of the most historic konpa bands. This list includes: Nu Star, Zinpie, Kazak Experience, Tropicana, Zenglen Plus, Zel, Nu Look, Fuzion, Zenglen, 5 Etwal, and most recently, dISIP. “I have been a member of many different bands, mixing my identity with their sound,” says Laporte. “Sure, I stood out but with dISIP the band is mine. Fans will get to see many sides of me that hey have never seen before.”
