Stephanie Lecor (born September 26, 1992) is a Haitian-American pop singer. She is signed to We the Best Music Group under the mentor-ship of DJ Khaled. She appears as Amara and Veronica’s friend and confidante in the first season of Love and Hip Hop Miami.

Lecor was born and raised in Miami, Florida to Haitian parents. Her father was in a Haitian band, where she would watch him record at an early age. Her parents put her in choir practice and was given vocal lessons as a child.

In 2009, after touring nationwide as a backup singer for Ky-Mani Marley, Lecor started a solo career. Then, she discovered Jase and City Boi, who had collaborated on songwriting with various artists for Interscope Records and Atlantic Records, were looking for a female singer to create a group called Kulture Shock. Together, the group was signed by Poe Boy Entertainment in a joint venture deal with France-based record label Artop/Universal.

Lecor continued, she opened up about the start of her music career, which kicked off at the age of 3, alongside her father. As she got older, like most singers, she sang with the church choir and performed in talent shows, but she didn’t take it serious until she went on tour with Van Halen about 13 years ago, as a backup singer.

Then, 10 years later, Lecor teamed up with Miami’s own, DJ Khaled, as he signed her as the first lady of his label, We The Best.

“The day I got signed was the day I met him, so I had no expectations,” she said. “He heard the record ‘Saturday’ that I did and he really loved it, and he and my manager are really good friends.”

“Khaled is one of the most positive people that I know, he keeps it really real,” she continued of her mentor. “He’s definitely been someone that I’ve looked up to in many ways. Not just as a father, but also as a really hard working individual.”

Not only is Lecor the first lady of We The Best, she’s also a cast member of “Love and Hip Hop: Miami.” Although at first her team was against the move, she said she went behind their backs and did it anyway, and by the time she secured the role, she said her team was supportive because of the success of Cardi B post “Love and Hip Hop.”

But, if you’re looking for the real tea about “Love and Hip Hop: Miami,” you’ll have to tune in in January!
