Adjamile Marcelin is the all female band, Siromiel’s percussionist. She started playing the percussion at an early age. Adjamile drew up in a musical family. Her parents, Sanba Zao and Mireille Marcelin, are artists, musicians, painters, and dancers. With the family band, she has performed almost everywhere in Haiti and also in major cultural events elsewhere. In love with the percussion, she never ceases to amaze the public as much by her methods of accompaniment as by her liveliness on stage. Adjamile has already been in Ivory Coast at the Masa Festival, in Canada at the Nuits d’Afrique Festival, at the Music Festival for women from here and elsewhere, at the Afrofest Festival etc. and in Sweden at various music festivals.
