From a sunday appearance with claude Marcelin with les Supremes de petionville at cine cabanon to an impromtu jam session with Loubert chancy two weeks ago at the marabou cafe. Ti Polis always stole the show. his sense of the groove was always right on time and unlike many great guitarist he always moved with the time he never let the music pass him by…
because of that he could always play with any group anywhere anytime without a single minute of rehearsal. if we were to research all the albums that were enhanced by ti polis’ participation we would be amazed that such a major contributor to so many hits, was not heralded as the best of the best…
it is unfortunate that the masses did not know what all the musicians who had a chance to work with him experienced first hand: polinice was a genius he played as if every performance was going to be his last and I know that today he is in a better place…
can you imagine the dream team in heaven: i can see ti manno’s excitemnent when he got the news that finaly he was getting ti polis as his lead guitarist…
I urge you to stop and listen carefully: when its dark, and quiet if you try hard enough you will hear symphonies coming from the sky, it’s the voice of our fallen singing to welcome a jewel, a great friend, father, and most important a son of haiti passing to eternity…
Ti polis will never be forgotten, he left us so many gifts that until today we did not know how to appreciate..
To his family and particularly his children, rejoice in his departure as death is only a new beginning, a journey to eternity and Ti polis i looking down on us with his contagious smile, guitar close to his heart and the promise that sooner ar later we will all be reunited.
I am priviledge to call him my friend as we spent many years together in Washington where he played with zepon, ( one of the best unknown group of our times…

To Comtemplate the magnitude of this loss to our Music, one must understand ti polis vision and beliefs he felt compelled to share his knowledge and experience with many rather than few and his habit of checking out early often seen as a sign of instability was rather a conscious effort to share his life with the most people, some found him arrogant because he believe so much on his skilss and talent that he rarely compromised: genius it most often misunderstood…
This is just a goodbye as our path will cross again…
He told me that he felt very happy with the caliber of the new generation of musicians on the scene today and he had no doubt that compas was in good hands…
