ARTIST/BAND /GROUP INFORMATION

Occupation(s) : Singer, Producer and Songwriter

Oswald began to sing at a very young age. He used to sing everywhere and affirmed,
« it is an automatism ». At the age of 13 he became an orphan and was forced to go live
with a foster family. Since then he started writing songs to reveal his feelings. These
writings were for him a mean of expression that he used to heal his heart after this
tragedy.

In 2007, He won the fifth edition of the "Defi Lyceen” which took place in Guadeloupe
where he faced sixteen other participants of the Caribbean. The apotheosis of his career
was confirmed when he was invited to perform along with other big names such as
Ralph Tamar, Tania Saint-Val, Dominique Coco, and Martine Sylvestre, in the first part of
the tribute concert to George Benson, the famous American guitarist, singer and
composer, in Guadeloupe, in December 2007. That same year, Oswald released his first
Maxi single called " My life " composed of four titles of soul and R&b recorded in Yard
Studio in Saint-Martin.

Michel Mado, talented pianist and songwriter of Guadeloupe, estimated that he has
made a special discovery in Oswald's presence and granted him a title on his album
“Dedicace” released in 2008.

In 2010, Oswald came back with two new singles « Nan Lanmou laj pa ekziste » and "
Ton absence " a duo, which featured the talented Misty Jean. These two singles
received the approval of his fans and the international media. “Nan Lanmou” is
currently being aired in countries such as France, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Haiti, Tahiti,
Dakar, St Martin, USA, etc. with the support of Major radio networks such as NRJ, RFO,
TropiqueFM, MFM, just to name a few. The promotional tour during the month of June
2010 in Florida followed right after. During that tour, Oswald had a chance to perform at
several venues, including the 28th anniversary of "fête de la musique" organized by
“Alliance Francaise de South Florida” where he made a memorable appearance on
stage.

At the end of the first quarter of 2011, Oswald released a third single entitled “I Need
Your Body” which instantly became a hit worldwide with the support of international
Media entities such as NRJ, RFO, TraceFm, TropiqueFm, MFM, etc… He released the
video for that single on April 11, 2011. The video is currently being aired worldwide
through TraceTv, Trace Tropical, Tempo Tv, and the social networking websites. The
video was followed by the release of his first studio album on April 15, 2011. Oswald is
currently on a promotional tour to promote the new album. During the tour, he will be
performing and signing albums in several cities of the United States, France,
Guadeloupe, Martinique, “La Reunion”, Mayotte, Madagascar, French Guyana, and
others.

Oswald’s songwriting, composing, and singing skills, have allowed him to vary his
repertoire at any given moment. Oswald is an artist on the rise!

Oswald is from the island of Saint Martin. At the age of 13, he faced a drama. He becomes an orphan and is forced to live with a host family . Passionate about music from an early age, he began to write his texts to express his feelings, a way for him to externalize his feelings. In 2007, he won a high school challenge in Guadeloupe which would allow him to rub shoulders with Guadeloupe artists such as Tanya St Val, Dominique Coco, etc. during a concert in tribute to Georges Benson. That same year he decided to produce his first model entitled “My Life” composed of four RnB / Soul songs, recorded in the studio “Yard Studio” on his native island.

But it was in 2008, spotted by Michel Mado (famous pianist composer Guadeloupe), impressed by his talent, claims to have discovered a gold nugget. He thus grants him a title on his album “Dédicace”.

In 2010, he decided to release two singles:
• Nan Lanmou laj pa ekziste, a mixture of zouk / kompa (traditional music, originally from Haiti) met with immense success. It is played by several radio stations including NRJ, MFM, Tropiques FM but especially on radio waves from the United States.
• Your absence, in duet with Misty Jean.

Oswald rides the wave of this success and begins a tour in Florida during the month of June. On April 10, 2011, his third single “I Need Your Body” was released with the release of the clip. The latter is broadcast on TV channels Trace Tropical, NRJ… and is becoming a worldwide phenomenon. His single entitled “Girls that like Girls” has the same enthusiasm thanks to its broadcast on the same channels.

He decided to release in April 2011, his first studio album entitled “OSWALD”, available in stores and on all digital platforms (iTunes, Deezer …). In this eponymous album, he talks about his difficult childhood and his experiences lived until then. Then follows a second tour on the American continent but also in France, Mayotte, Reunion, Japan, Canada… He ends up making an impression during his performance for the 13th Haitian Compass Festival in Florida.

Thanks to his talent for being able to vary his musical repertoire, he joined the 5LAN group which offered to join the group with Mr. Carlo Vieux. This stage represents a major turning point in his career, since he now enjoys international visibility.

Oswald wishes to remain an artist in its own right, he continues to compose his own songs. On June 7, 2017, he released his single “Ghetto Girl Wine” which panics the web, now available on all download platforms. Trace TV follows him by widely distributing the clip in its network.

Now living in Paris, he signs with the Purple Music Agency label, which intends to reveal to the world the talents of Oswald.

Self-taught, Oswald is a booming artist… He is certainly a singer, songwriter-singer to follow very closely!
