Papash

Our famous group PAPASH was founded by Wuydens Joseph. It was supposed to start with Himself, Alan Cave and Tantan but those two had to leave the country for studies. In fact Wuydens is kind of responsible of the making of Zin since he introduced Alan to Alex Abellard to what I heard. So Wuydens hooked up with Edgar, Richard Rouzeau and Ralph Conde to create the band. The name “ Papash” was given by the late Master Dji.The band came out in the late 80s when the Zouk fever was like a “Fleau” in our culture. It was one the bands that made their mark in the nouvel Jenerasyon movement .Btw 1989-1993 we had 8 albums were released under the Papash’s name since we had one in Haiti. The song “Feeling Papash” was an instant hit on their first album of the original members plus also their signature.Over the years members of this band scattered all over .Some of them we don’t even know if they are still active in the HMI anymore. “Ti medame yo di mwen pa konn danse mwen pral met fourmi lan janm ou” those are the good memories at that time in any”Journee creative” ………this is from a post from Richard Rouzeau
