Claire Lydie Parent is a born artist, practicing art from a young age. She was part of the musical group Les Frères Parent, group well known for his committed music. His songs are on the tape

Chased by the dictatorial regime of the Duvaliers, Claire Lydie Parent took advantage of her exile in the United States to obtain a diploma in communication. She traveled a little around the world accompanied by their group, to present plays, or give musical concerts in: United States, Canada, France, the West Indies etc.
At the fall of Duvaliers, Claire Lydie Parent returns home to Haiti as if for continue the political fight it started. In the democratic elections of 1990, she ran for the municipality of Pétion-ville, his hometown. She is elected mayor and re-elected in 1995 for a second term. She spent almost nine and a half years at the head of this large commune of more than 200,000 two hundred thousand inhabitants, made up in major part of the posh class of the country.
Claire Lydie Parent, apart from his talents as a writer, poet and singer, cannot resist the images that swirl in his mind. This world wonderful and unimaginable that she sees daily, she sharing with others through his paintings in a style specific to she alone. This simple, natural style, which she calls, Adja style is translated by the mixture of everything. In her paintings, she creates a universe that opens up to those who want to have an idea of what rich space Wonderful, Naive, Mystical, Realistic or Surreal, in a word, his world Adja.
