Riske was an all-female Haitian band based in Miami, Florida specializes in a smooth, glossy synth-pop that is the Haitian answer to the Cuban-American Miami sound of Gloria Estefan. Consisting mainly of women, Riske had great success during the 90s with their hit album “Alfabè” despite the odds stacked against them in an industry ruled by men. Despite their popularity, the band dismantled in the late 90s.
