“The Group “SAIMA” is composed of three sisters: Sabine, Ives and Martine Fancoeur, daughters of the famous singer, author, and composer” Assade Francoeur” of the legendary group “Coupe Cloue et L’ensemble Select, known for his song writingwith hits such as: “Fanm Kolokinte”, “Myan Myan”, “Madam Marcel”. Living in Miami for the past twelve years, Sabine, Ives & Martine represent and characterize a new generation of haitian sound for the new Millenium. Their versatility in music allows them to sing brillantly in english, french, creole and spanish. Their new and cool sound reflects a mixture of traditional Caribbean Afro-Rhythms with Pop Music with an overtone of Hip Hop, Rap, R&B; and Soul. Sabine Francoeur is the lead singer of the group. Ives Francoeur is mainly a Rap Singer, songwriter and harmony specialist. Martine Francoeur, twin sister of Sabine is mainly a Dancer and Background Vocalist. The name “SAIMA” comes from the first letters of each of these Diva’s first name. Five years after the release of their first album, SAIMA is presenting us their most complete and original studio recording work to date, the album “CHALE”.
