Siromiel, is name of this young musical group composed entirely of women. Siromiel was formed in 2018 and is currently based in Haiti. Siromiel style of music includes the genres; World music, Compas, Caribbean music, and Zouk. Taking to consideration that the Haitian music business is a male domniated industry, that did not deter this group of young and talented ladies to display their talents. the band was formed by two former students of the National School of the Arts, both former members of the Artiz group, the musicians of Siromiel have participated in various festivals and national events such as Havana Guitar Night, Le Nuit d’Afrique festival, The Masa Festival etc. Their young age does not represent any limitations for them to speak of musical and professional maturity; some of them started playing in church, others have other hats apart from the music. We can take the example of one of the vocalists who is also an actress and dancer, and two other members who are music teachers. This large construction is not in the process of stopping any time soon, Siromiel has many projects in progress apart from the singles and music workshops already in the oven. This last line already gives us an overview of the prospects of Siromiel training, whose main objective is to validly represent Haitians and women in the world of music. Siromiel is for another configuration of the music market.
