Active since the 90s, Ti Kabzy is primarily a family affair among the Dupervals. Encouraged by the Caribbean community of Montreal, Ti Kabzy is t inescapable in terms of new generation konpa in Canada with indisputable live quality. In 1995, Jean-Sébastien Duperval, alias “JS”, the keyboard player, met Jorjinoh N., renowned guitarist of Haitian music. It is this year that Ti Kabzy really takes a professional direction and offers original compositions.

In 1996, “Si m’alé”, Ti Kabzy’s first studio album, confirmed the expectations of konpa lovers, with three hits: “Leson Lanmou”, “Gloria”; and the eponymous song “Si m’alé” which delicately deals with the issue of the Haitian exodus abroad. In the following year, the group began a North American and French tour with performances in Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Miami and Paris, among others.

After a second studio album, Ti Kabzy continues to stand out across the borders of Canada, and 2004 brings consecration to the group.
“My name iz”, album of all hits propels the group to the top, with, in particular
“Relax” and “Shaking dadazz”.

Ti Kabzy then goes on tour and the live quality of the group is reinforced with the arrival of a new singer, Alain Lanoue. Charismatic, with its rock star allures, it ignites audiences, brings a new dimension to Ti Kabzy’s performances and unleashes crowds with the konpa remix of “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye.
The Ti Kabzy sound then arrives in Africa, and the French West Indies adopt the group which very often performs there in live format, with a second keyboard player, a drummer, even a section of brass.

After having made his electro konpa appreciated by Caribbean people from around the world, with performances on the biggest stages, and “Tèt chajé” in 2007, Ti Kabzy, with his new album, is about to sweep an electro Creole wave on the world.
