Jean Dahnis Vilaire also known as Black Easy played with Chouchou Band, a small group in Jérémie, Haiti before joining, Galaxie Band, the largest orchestra in the city. The musician was also part of Cosmos de Jérémie long before forming his own group called Elit Mizik. His adventure in the musical world would continue with the group Legend, of Marc Richard. It was at Audiotek that Black Easy was going to meet Délice Mezifils, former guitarist of Krezi Mizik who had invited him to join King Posse.

In a statement release on 8/10/2016 by the ministry of culture: The Ministry of Culture and Communication is deeply dismayed by the news of the sudden death of the famous percussionist Vilaire Jean Dhanis aka “Black EZ” aged 37 (December 3, 1979)

Tuesday, victim of a vascular stroke, found unconscious at his home in Delmas 54 around 7:00 pm Black EZ was rushed to the University Hospital La Paix where he passed away.

Native of Jérémie, Black EZ was known for his extraordinary talent and sense of humor. He played as a drummer in the groups Legend, Mass Konpa and Krezi Mizik to finish his race in his own group Bèl Plezi he had formed with Berto.
