Pierre Jean’s new album Chef-d’œuvre stands as a defining moment in his artistic journey. Released on November 11, 2025, Chef-d’œuvre marks his official debut. The project delivers 11 tracks across a tight 34-minute runtime, featuring guest appearances from Fatima Alteri, Curtis Kane, King Street, and Joseph Zenny, each bringing their own flavor to the album.
Throughout that time span, the project explores love in all its messy, emotional, and often controversial layers. The songs cover subjects like sexual exploration, infidelity, toxicity, heartbreak, and relationships that start beautifully and end in flames. It is bold, relatable, and clearly crafted with a younger audience in mind. Without a doubt, Pierre Jean is a talented artist. His vocals are rich, sensual, and perfectly compliment the album’s romantic theme. The mixing and mastering were also done with near perfection. Even so, I wouldn’t call Chef-d’œuvre his best work because listening to his voice, it is obvious this young man has even more to offer. This feels like only the beginning for him.
For a debut album, giving listeners eleven full tracks that total just 34 minutes is like serving an appetizer and snatching away the main course right before the first bite. Unfortunately, this has become a trend among new artists. Many are still catering to the long-disproven myth that your song will not get played on European radio if it’s over three minutes. That rule might have applied before these new artists were even born. Queen shattered that belief with Bohemian Rhapsody. When a track is good, it gets played. These two and three minute songs do not serve the Konpa genre well at all. Rap, yes. But not every genre was built for the quick-bite approach.
