Kenny Sinvil, known artistically as Kenny Haiti, steps fully into his spotlight with the release of Time To Shine, his boldest and most complete studio album to date. Dropped on September 20, 2024, this 12-track project blends the soul of Compas with modern Afro-pop, reggae, and dancehall influences, capturing the essence of a rising artist who is finally living his purpose.
Born in Saint-Marc, Haiti, Kenny’s journey from a small coastal town to the international stage is nothing short of inspiring. The only child of his mother, Kenny tragically lost his father at a young age, a loss that shaped his deep emotional connection to home and family—elements that are often heard in his melodies. A lover of traditional Haitian cuisine like white rice and lalo, and a loyal fan of FC Barcelona and Argentina’s national football team, Kenny is grounded in both culture and character.

The album opens with “Kle Kou,” a polished, energetic track that draws listeners in with its infectious rhythm and Kenny’s unmistakable melodic style. “Pi Bon Chwa,” featuring Richard Cavé, feels like a warm embrace, lyrically reflective, musically uplifting. Meanwhile, “Fake Friends,” with DJ Tonymix, leans into dancehall, but carries a serious undercurrent about loyalty and betrayal.
As always, Kenny’s voice is the anchor. He’s a storyteller at heart, and songs like “Ki Mele M” and “Time To Shine” make it clear that his voice isn’t just smooth, it’s purposeful.
Though many know Kenny Haiti today as a breakout singer in the Haitian music scene, music wasn’t always the plan. When he emigrated to Florida in 2007 to join his mother, his dream was to play basketball professionally. But after realizing he had passed the age window for a sports career, he turned to the thing that had always been in his heart: music.
“I have always loved music. I chose to pursue it instead of joining the police,” Kenny once shared. His passion became a full-time career in 2018 with the release of his debut video “Jou Pa Nou”, which quickly surpassed one million views on YouTube.
Though he started with rap, Kenny transitioned into singing, discovering the melodic strength of his voice. A key turning point came when he was invited to collaborate with Roody Roodboy. From there, he doubled down, even after losing two jobs, and devoted himself fully to a career in music.
With producers like Andybeatz and mixers like MagicTouch, the album’s sonic quality is tight and clean. Every beat is layered, every hook purposeful, and Kenny’s vocals are mixed front and center where they belong.
His collaborations shine especially bright—“Bif” with Mickael Guirand shows off chemistry, confidence, and danceability, while “Time To Shine” is an anthem for anyone who’s been underestimated and is finally stepping into their power.
These albums chart his evolution from promising up-and-comer to a seasoned artist who knows exactly who he is and what he wants to say.
Time To Shine is more than just an album title, it’s Kenny Haiti’s personal declaration. Every track reflects growth, resilience, and a clear understanding of his musical identity. Whether through dance-ready tracks, emotional ballads, or culturally rooted storytelling, Kenny Haiti delivers an album that deserves attention not just in the Haitian community, but across the global Afro-Caribbean diaspora.
With heartfelt lyrics, engaging features, and high-level production, Time To Shine confirms that Kenny Haiti is no longer on the rise, he has arrived.
