After the Amazura fiasco, between Carimi, and Tvice’s camp, it seems like El Madre, has turned the band over to two well-known promoters in New York for protection. Glasses and Foe, two well-known guys in the NYC circle that can give Tvice the protection that they need in the New York area. Glasses is very familiar name within the Tvice, he has promoted many of Tvice’s parties in the past and most recently, he’s the sponsor that brought Tvice out for the Labor Day Carnival in Brooklyn last September. Foe is the former owner of Cenegal Nightclub formerly known as “Le Rendez Vous” in Brooklyn. From now on, if you want to book Tvice in the New York area, you must get in contact with either one of them.

With this decision, “Tvice will not take any chances when they travel to NY. They want to make sure that what happened at Amazura a couple of weeks ago, never happen again” explained my source.

Carimis’ entourage is mostly from Queens, headed by Pachouko and Tvice’s new proteges are from Brooklyn, headed by Foe and Glasses.

For those who are not aware, during a Carimi vs Tvice’s party in Queens, a couple of weeks ago, it was alleged that Carimi’s entourage, physically assaulted a Tvice musician backstage which almost escalated into a very dangerous situation to all who attended. Tvice had to be escorted by security to their car after their performance.

Will this turn out to be a Queens vs Brooklyn territory battle like it used to be in the early 90’s, or will both parties find common ground and respect each other’s turf?

I’m hoping that both camps will put the best interests of the fans first and work together to bring New York back as the mecca of Konpa music as it used to be instead of getting into the nonsense polemic that can only bring the music scene in New York further down the gutter where it is already heading.
