As previously reported on Opa by a member, some of Nu Look’s members were involved in a car accident in Haiti a few days ago where a 2-year-old boy was killed while crossing the street by the car carrying Nu Look’s members Arly Lariviere, Ralph Conde and a few other.
After this devastating incident the band decided to continue on with their tour as planned, a decision they would later regret when again Nu Look’s maestro Arly Lariviere and a female friend got involved in another car accident last night on their way to a gig in Gonaives, Haiti.
The rest of the band had already arrived at their destination because they left Port Au Prince around 4:00 PM but Arly and the friend didn’t leave the capital until 9:00 PM and around that time the road tends to be dark. From our sources, Arly was the driver in the second accident but not on the first. The female friend who is being reported to be in serious condition may lose her arm. She is said to be on her way back to the states for medical attention.
And if you thought that was bad, it’s being rumored that the band ended up playing the gig for their own safety since because the ticket holders who were at the party demanded they play or else. We’ve also learned the band may continue with the tour tonight.
Condolences to the family of the two-year-old boy who lost his life and a speedy recovery to the female friend.
