Daphne made it official today and gave the band her letter of resignation and the notice goes into effect immediately. Did she leave Zin to pursue other project and how will Zin deal with her departure? The ink has barely dried and already there’s been a lot of speculations regarding Martine Marseille, a new and very talented artist, who’s signed to  ALabel’s Label might be the one replacing Daphne. However Martine lives in Florida and so does Nia, another member of Zin who has relocated back to Florida from New York since she joined the band.

To juggle two plane tickets out of their budget can put a dent in their pockets unless they ask her to relocate to New York. Martine is here on a visa from Haiti, she can’t travel outside of the United States. If Zin does decide to add her to the lineup, she wouldn’t able to travel with them to their yearly Haiti, Paris tours.

Daphne quit the band after her no/show at the Compas Festival in Florida. She said her son was sick and he had to be monitored at night for breathing problems and she felt Zin wasn’t being sympathetic at all. She did, however, show up for the regular Sunday gig at Club A where she was turned back and ask to call in for a meeting which she never did until she gave Alan the final call. Daphne’s video Hasta la Vista was almost finished as of last week.Rumors were circulating that it is her relationship with Zin’s former keyboard player, Cassique that’s been destroying her relationship with the band. One source told Opa that Cassique doesn’t want her in the band and is jealous of her relationship with the other members. Whatever the situation may be, we which her the very best in her future endeavors. She contributed a great amount to the band she will be missed.
