X-Tassy

X-Tassy began in Haiti, when a young Claude Michel “TKlod” Porsenna (Maestro) and
Sebastien “Babas” Durand (lead singer) met at a tennis club where they both trained. After
Discovering each other’s musical talents, they began practicing as a two-piece band.

A few months later, they set out to accomplish higher objectives in the music world. They
Gathered five more musicians, Daniel Fils “Fistibal” Verna (guitarist), Jean-Pierre “JP”
Polynice (second keyboardist), Richard Chounoune (bassist), Reginald Merveille
(background vocals) and Bernard “Ben” Duchemin (background vocals), and named
Themselves “X-Tassy ” the legal drug you can’t get enough of. Together they practiced
Almost every day; day and night; the same songs over and over.

Their first major performance was at the annual “Famille St. Louisienne” at St. Louis
Gonzague where most of the members attended school, playing alongside other young
Bands including TNT and T-Groove. The crowd of about 400 people watched X-Tassy in
amazement. Following this event, the original formation played together for the last time at
a mansion in BelVil. Shortly thereafter, the band split up to pursue schooling in different
parts of the world.

In December 2007, Sebastien moved to Florida from Maryland to reunite with Claude
Michel and pursue their passion for music. They contacted Daniel Fils who was eager to
Bring back X-Tassy. Together they gathered together a full band by adding six more
members: Jordani Parnell “Jojo” Chery (second keyboardist), Jean Richard “Chacha”
Maniguat (gong), Jeoffrey “Good Tang” Louis (bassist), Philippe “Pepito” Constant
(drummer), Viky Gilles Daniel (congas) and Marc San Milan (background vocals). This time
They sought to become professional musicians and hired a management team composed of:
Tamara Ais and Albert “Bebel” Nadere.

Their first US performance at Aroma Club in Hollywood, FL marked their first step on a long journey together.
Today, X-Tassy is on its way to becoming a cornerstone in the new generation of Compas. In 2014, Nodrant Senat (drums) Wadly Prud’homme(congas), Alexandre Parada (Lead Singer) and Roody Georges (Percussion) joined Jeoffrey,
Jordani and Patrick in their effort to create music that their fans can love and relate to.

With countless performances under their belt, X-Tassy is sure to become a household name
In the Haitian Music Industry. In an industry filled with uncertainty, one thing is sure,
all the members of X-Tassy live for The drug that they can’t get enough of “Music“.
