He was recently in Haiti for filming sessions of the video Plim Pam with Pro-vision. He also gave his very first live performance in the country, joining several groups on stage at Gandhi Premier’s birthday celebration at the Olympia Night Club on February 18. Upon his return to the U.S. two weeks ago, RKM Recordz quickly organized things so that P-Jay, their protégé and rising star of Rap Kreyol, would be back on TV screens by March 9 with a new music video, a small masterpiece dedicated to women.

Pro-vision experienced significant delays in delivering the Plim Pam video, the hit track from the demo announcing the artist’s debut album scheduled for release this coming May. RKM Recordz therefore revised its strategy without changing the overall timeline.

During his two productive weeks in Haiti, in addition to the Plim Pam shoot, P-Jay met with key figures of Rap Kreyol, visited temporary refugee camps, held discussions with primary school students, and engaged in long improvised freestyle sessions at rap forums and in studios during interviews. He quickly adjusted to the new planning that awaited him back in the U.S., including performances at Edouart Design Birthday Bash, Café Antillais, and immediately shooting the video for Fok Mwen Ale featuring Flav with a production company in Miami.

In just one month, Fok Mwen Ale has become the second music video filmed by the artist under contract with RKM Recordz. The video is now available online and on all television stations in Haiti.
